Pictures from 2014 Season

First Race of Season Pictures

Many thanks to Mandy Pollard for taking all the photos, unless otherwise specified

After no sailing on the first day of the season, almost perfect weather produced an excellent turnout on the following Sunday, 9th March, with continuous sunshine and a reasonably gentle breeze.

Starting the midday race from the far side, with a dogleg round Dam Green to Dam Red James Pollard in his Laser Radial heading downwind, in front of Jane Anderson's Topper Adam Hilton's Solo joins the leading duo
Keeping close company: Simon Veal and Rachel Pomeroy in the Bosun just ahead of Vicki Duncalf's Topper and John Weller's Laser Coming and going around West White James Pollard pulls out a remarkable lead at the start of the afternoon race, with Vicki Duncalf rounding Dam Red

30th March

Interesting mix of port and starboard tack starters for the midday race Lots of close-quarter action as the fleet competes to get round the first mark at Dam Green Alan Comber's Enterprise bears away just in front of Adam Hilton helming the Bosun Jane Anderson going well in the midday race
And Paul Anderson has the full-rig Laser moving well, too Start of the afternoon race, with Jane Anderson clear away and Paul Whybrow and Bob Sampson just rounding Dam Green Simon Veal leads the chasing pack round the mark John Duncalf's Topper looking at home in the increasingly strong winds of the afternoon race

6th April

Just after the start of the morning race: heading up a hazy lake in a wind that was shifting and unpredictable but nowhere near as strong as gusty as the forecast predicted, which had put off many prospective sailors Bob Sampson's Laser 4.7 just ahead of Sue Murray in a Topper Good to see John White out in his Bosun, sporting Gull sails, with Rachel Pomeroy as crew The wind looks to have shifted round towards the West by the time of this shot, with Bob's Laser 4.7 looking to be going well in the background

13th April

Lots of boats jostling for position at the start of the midday race, with a 16-strong fleet out Still pretty tightly packed as the fleet beats to windward into the north-westerly breeze, with Paul Anderson in clear air to windward and Jane Anderson's Laser 4.7 ahead but to leeward John Savage's Solo heads a pack of four boats, including Adam Hilton's Solo and the Bosuns of Toby Tobias and Simon Veal The Toppers of Sue Murray and Vicki Duncalf are closely matched as they round Dam Green and head onto the beat
A more widely separated fleet just after the start of the afternoon race Simon Veal and Rachel Pomeroy both up on the side as they keep the Bosun impressively flat A good telephoto shot of four Lasers running back downwind from the far end of the lake A contrast in styles (and points of sail): Steve Axford having to work hard upwind in his full rig Laser, whilst Toby Tobias and Brian Pollard look to have time for a chat downwind in the Bosun

20th April

Jane Anderson's Topper leads a mixed bag of Toppers and Lasers just after the gun, on  Start Line 2, beating towards Inlet White The front of the fleet still tightly bunched, but Bob Sampson's Laser has now moved to the front A misty telephoto shot as the fleet head up to Far The club Bosun 'Mike Ford' kicking up a sizeable bow wave as it bludgeons its way through the chop on the midday race, Nicky Buckett helming
The start of the afternoon race And a few moments later.... The silent watcher.....  A heron keeps a wary eye on James Pollard, now out in Nathan's Topper An excellent close-up of Steve Axford, on the plane in front of the dam

27th April

Vicki Duncalf leads the small fleet away on a grey Sunday at the start of the midday race And a few seconds later Crisply shot study of the Enterprise making good progress upwind James Pollard already out in front shortly after the start of the afternoon race
Looking to be quite testing conditions across the middle of the lake Paul Whybrow's Solo follows Alan Comber's Enterrpise downwind Vicki Duncalf and Nathan Pollard closely matched Shot of James Pollard, who ended up winner of both races

4th May

Jane Anderson, Adam Hilton and Nathan Pollard time their start right for the midday race Almost the whole fleet in shot, having negotiated the crowded turn at Dam Green Tightly packed coming into the mark at Inlet White: Roger Heasman's Streaker leads Alan Comber's Enterrpise, with Sue Murray and Nathan Pollard close on their heels Two Bosuns: Jane Chadney in the 'Mike Ford', with John White's Bosun not far behind
Adam Hilton's Solo going comfortably in the afternoon's Pursuit race Paul Whybrow's Solo, squeezing to windward of Nathan Pollard's topper A tightly packed trio as the end of the Pursuit approaches.... And at the end, Jane Anderson's Laser Radial has just made it through into first place, with the Enterprise and Solo only just behind

18th May

The fleet bunching at the Home 1 buoy at the start of the midday race Jane Anderson leads a group of three boats, Sue Murray, Roger Heasman and Adam Hilton Not much wind for Toppers Nathan Pollard leading a trio of Toppers and the Enterprise of Alan Comber and John Weller
James Pollard leads the fleet away in the afternoon race Jane Anderson's Laser Radial heels to a gust at the front of the fleet And more wind for a quartet of boats running downwind out of Inlet Alex Clifton and Rachel Pomeroy staying in contention with Vicki and John Duncalf

25th May

Gentle breeze for the start of the midday Sailboat Trophy A trio of Lasers at the head of the fleet, just ahead of Nathan Pollard's Topper And moments later,  as the leading boats have rounded the first mark, Steve Axford is easing the kicker as he heads downwind Tamar's peloton jockey for position and clear air on the first downwind leg
Nathan Pollard battling with the two Bosuns of Toby Tobias and Adam Hilton Nicky Buckett's Laser, as Alan Comber's Enterrpise and Sue Murray's Topper Topaz head the other way Bob Sampson gets away to a good start in the afternoon race on a very wet and dreary afternoon Brian Pollard, out on the water and crewing for Alan Comber

1st June

Jane Anderson gets clear away at the start of the final race in the Sailboat series, with Elliot Pomeroy leading the pack in pursuit New crew out on the water: Michael Bence crewing with John Buckett in the Otter, with Richard Bence and Luke crewing in the club Bosun for Nicky Buckett - though John White has his regular crew George Evans on board John Savage's Solo heels to a gust as the bulk of the fleet heads up to Pinkie, whilst the three Lasers in the lead are already running back down towards the Dam Jane Anderson leading James Pollard by several boat lengths as they head towards the start line on the first lap
Simon Veal, the eventual winner of the afternoon Pursuit race, looks to be in determined mood as he draws clear of the early starters Novice windsurfers running the gauntlet of the competitors in the Pursuit Nathan Pollard still holding onto his place in front of the faster Solo and Enterrpise James Pollard's Laser Radial gets up onto the plane, whilst behind the heavier Bosun bludgeons the water aside to make a sizeable bow wave

8th June

Jane Anderson's Topper leads the fleet away at the start of the midday race, closely followed by Nathan Pollard and then Alan Comber and John Weller in the Enterprise The leading duo now joined by Sue Murray, also in a Topper Adam Hilton's Bosun (sporting Otter sails from former member John Chandler) and Nicola Sayer just ahead of the Enterprise A good show of nearly all the fleet on a run downwind to Inlet White, prior to skirting the headland under the trees on the way down to Pinkie
Sue Murray getting her Topper onto the plane, just ahead of Nathan Pollard The fleet coming up to the start line as they prepare to start the afternoon race Bob Sampson's Laser 4.7 pressing Jane Anderson's Topper hard as they head downwind And a little later Bob has overtaken Jane prior to building a big lead - but Jane still managed to win on handicap

15th June

Right on the line for the start of the midday race, with the bulk of the fleet opting for a port tack start tight in against the Home 1 buoy (Interesting to see a picture shot from the Devon bank of the lake, back towards the Race Hut - it also shows just how tall the trees in the plantation on the hillside against the skyline are becoming - and presumably making any westerly winds at this end of the lake more fluky as they grow) The fleet now starting to spread out, against the backdrop of the car park and the play area, with Bob Sampson leading the fleet away And a few seconds later, with Vicki Duncalf heading this group A nice composition of boats inching their way round Inlet White, with Robin and Linda Spiller's Bosun in the foreground
Boats moving much faster as the wind picked up for the afternoon race, with Paul Whybrow's Solo showing just ahead A zoom shot of the front of the fleet heading downwind back from Pinkie John Savage looking nicely balanced going upwind in his Solo Roger Heasman developing more of a heel in his Streaker

22nd June

In the lightest of zephyrs, the fleet inch towards the line, with Bob Sampson's RS200 ahead at the clubhouse end Sue Murray's Topper Topaz emerges from the pack to lead the chase after Bob and Jane And now a close-up....  With the wind filling in and swinging round to the north, the start to the afternoon race was a much less laboured affair, but Bob's RS200 was still first away
A nice shot of a tightly-bunched group of boats running from Inlet White back to the dogleg round Zebra Alex Clifton has the RS200's gennaker up as they chase Jane Anderson's Laser Radial And now the gennaker looks to be pulling really well after gybing onto port tack Later in the race, Robin and Linda Spiller lead a group of eight boats on the beat up to Pinkie

29th June

The fleet all concentrated at the Home One end of the line at the start of the midday race Bob Sampson's RS200 pulls away, just in front of Simon Veal's Bosun Steve Axford hiked out well as he heads upwind in the Laser A watchful Sue Murray rounds Dam Green in the Topper Topaz
Interesting contrast in styles as RS200, Laser and Bosun head up the lake John White's and Simon Veal's Bosuns tussling for an advantage James Pollard in the afternoon Pursuit race, with Rachel Pomeroy in the background John Buckett in the Otter being pressed hard by Nathan Pollard's Topper, as they accelerate away from Dam Green

6th July

On a blustery day, Alan Comber goes for a port tack start, whilst the bulk of the fleet opt for starboard A few seconds later, Bob Sampson's RS200 seems to have established a clear lead With a course restricted in length because of a major fishing competition, the races comprised no less than six ( very short) laps, inevitably leading to the faster boats lapping the slower ones James Pollard leading Nicky Buckett as the two Laser Radials head towards Inlet
In the afternoon race, Toby Tobias gets the Bosun away to a storming start An excellent close-up of Toby Tobias and John Dabbs looking comfortable and at ease in the Bosun, in contrast to the more frenetic efforts of some other helms in the gusty breeze Vicki and John Duncalf opt for different tacks as they pull away from Dam Green Really good to see Adeney Pooler back out on the lake in his Graduate after a long absence

13th July

The fleet gets away into a stiff northerly breeze at the start of the midday race Trio of Roger Heasman, Ruth Hieghton-Jackson and Jo Talbot-Adams in the club Bosun; note Alex Clifton in the background hiking out hard to keep his Topper the right way up Two Bosun helms for the price of one: Adam Hilton and John White double up in Adam's Bosun Start of the afternoon race, with Vicki Duncalf stealing a march on the rest of the fleet
Simon Veal's Bosun heads away a mixed group of boats away from Inlet James Pollard in the only Laser venturing out onto a choppy lake Jane Anderson's Topper at full tilt on a downwind plane Three happy faces as everybody is up on the gunwale to keep Toby's Bosun flat on a reach

20th July

Start of midday race, with James Pollard and Roger Heasman leading the pack And the same two boats staying clear to windward Bob Sampson seems to have made use of a small phalanx of paddleboarders to keep the pursuing fleet at a distance....! Good close-up of Adam Hilton as the Solo starts the beat up the lake from Dam Green
And a similar shot of Nicky Buckett in the Laser Radial James Pollard has stolen a lead of several boat lengths as the fleet crosses the line at the start of the afternoon race, with brother Nathan Pollard well placed in second The two Solos neck and neck at the start, whilst Sue Murray opts to dodge across the fleet on port tack in her newly-acquired Laser 4.7 The RS200 and Roger Heasman's Streaker have closed up with James Pollard on the beat up to West White

27th July (thanks to Stuart Mealing for today's photos)

Adeney Pooler about to lean into a tack in his Graduate Jane Chadney tacks away from the Graduate and Enterprise Enterprise and Graduate again, but this time with Adam Hilton's rarely-seen 420 Nice shot of the Adam's 420, with crew John Dabbs behind the sail
Simon Veal heading his Bosun 'Bojangles' up the lake on a beat Good action shot of Rachel Pomeroy heading the Topper upwind on a day when she became 'top Topper' in the midday race Bob Sampson's RS200 to windward of John Duncalf in the Topper Interesting to see the range of sail colours on some race days at Tamar this season: instead of the usual preponderance of white, there's now a broader palette, with a lot of blue

3rd August

James Pollard gets away first in the midday race, with Paul Whybrow tucked in just behind Bearing away onto a broad reach towards Inlet, many boats are getting onto the plane and the one or two heeling dinghies show the strength of the gusts The whole fleet head up the lake towards the turning point at Far A much smaller fleet get away for the afternoon race
On the same course as the morning, Bob Sampson's RS200 rounds Inlet White, with Roger Heasman's Streaker not far behind Good close-up of Roger Heasman's Streaker heading downwind Tight racing in the Topper contingent, with Vicki Duncalf just ahead of John Duncalf Eventual winner on handicap in the afternoon race, Nathan Pollard leaning forward his Topper

17th August

Bob Sampson gets his Laser 4.7 clear at the start of the midday race, with James Pollard just behind Simon Veal and Brian Pollard head downwind in a quiet patch as the chasing Enterprise shows an impressive bow wave Guarding against an accidental gybe as they run downwind, Louise Stevens keeps a firm hand on the boom in the Enterprise, with Nicky Buckett doing the same on the Bosun in the background Bob Sampson away first in the afternoon race, too, but this time it's Nathan Pollard heading the chasing pack
Sue Murray and John Dabbs keep their Bosun to windward as they beat up the lake after the start James Pollard now just ahead of Bob Sampson as they run downwind Enterprise, Bosun and Topper just about to round Zebra A good action shot of the Bosun in mid-gybe at Dam Green, with Nicky Buckett ducking as the boom swings across, with Vicki Duncalf in the Topper just sheeting in for the beat towards the finish line

Bank Holiday Mini Regatta

Start of the first race, with the Bosun of John Buckett, Christine Hartigan and Alan Comber away first and Stuart Mealing just behind, but James Pollard with the windward advantage Roger Heasman on starboard tack, with everybody else on port, as the boats make the long tactical beat up the lake Nice close-up of Jane Chadney helming the club Bosun, with Brian Pollard as crew Brilliant action shot of Roger Heasman hiking out in the Streaker, apparently just inching past the angle of the pontoon
New member Andrew Starkey out in his Gull in the foreground, with Nathan Pollard windward boat of the quartet Robin Spiller in his refurbished Solo, with Linda Spiller out in her newly-acquired Comet Mino, closely followed by Rachel Pomeroy in the Topper Jane Chadney's  Bosun chasing James and Nathan up the beat Good general shot of the fleet in the last race, with Elliot now having taken over the Topper from Rachel

24th August

Bob Sampson and Jane Anderson get the RS 200 through the fluky southerly winds over the dam to round Dam Green in the lead, a mark that had the potential to be a nightmare all day, as winds and flat calms could be mere yards apart; a point well illustrated by the gust that has Paul Anderson's Laser heeling, whilst all around the masts of surrounding boats remain perfectly vertical Most of the fleet have now rounded Dam Green and are running slowly up the lake and though Sue Murray's Laser 4.7 is currently towards the back of the pack, she was soon overtaking boats to such good effect that she was the ultimate winner on handicap Paul Anderson just ahead of James Pollard, once more at Dam Green A trio of Toppers, with John Duncalf ahead of both Elliot Pomeroy and Rachel Pomeroy
Jane Anderson's Laser Radial leads the fleet away in the afternoon race, with James Pollard just behind, but Jane Chadney has just squeezed past the pontoon to gain the windward advantage A few seconds later and Bob Sampson and Louise Stevens's RS 200 are showing in the lead, with eventual winner James Pollard now in second place The club Bosun (its sails bearing the iconic 101 number), with Roger Heasman and Ruth Hieghton-Jackson aboard, leads the Bosun of John Buckett and Brian Pollard, whilst just behind the Toppers and Solo still grappling with Dam Green Nathan Pollard's Topper clearly going well to be level pegging with the two Bosuns

31st August

John Duncalf gets away first, with Paul Anderson and John Weller going for a port tack approach John's Topper still has the advantage, whilst in the background, Nathan Pollard and Bob Sampson head towards the Devon bank A distant shot of a quartet of Toppers on a broad reach back down the lake, with Elliot Pomeroy's bow wave showing that at times the gusts could be surprisingly strong Nathan Pollard just ahead of the RS at the start of the afternoon race, whilst at the Home One buoy end, Nicky Buckett and Jane Anderson are also well up
Seconds later, and most of the fleet are in shot The whole fleet creating a ribbon of sail down the lake (only Bob Sampson's RS has forged ahead to miss the picture) Sue Murray and Jane Anderson's Laser 4.7's were locked together for the first half of the race All stand....!  Toby and Simon head downwind in the Bosuns, whilst crews Nicola and Brian sit it out.

7th September

The light airs are at least ruffling the water at the start of the midday race but progress is pretty slow The fleet's at least now all lined up and heading for Dam Green An impressively crisp long-distance shot of boats very slowly drifting up towards Pinky - note the mirror-like surface of the water in places The three boats that pulled away from the rest of the fleet: Jane Chadney's Laser Radial, Nicky Buckett's Laser and the RS200 of Bob Sampson and Louise Stevens - whilst much of the rest of the fleet is still half a lake away...
Start of the afternoon race, with Sue Murray and James Pollard the first boats clear The beat up to Pinky in a good breeze, with all the 18-strong fleet in view Paul Whybrow's Solo going well to be up with the Laser Radials of Sue Murray and Nicky Buckett Excellent close-up of James Pollard rounding Dam Green, on the way to crossing the line streets ahead of the next boat

21st September

Start of the midday Cup race, with a short beat to Dam Green A broad reach up towards the top of the lake Steve Axford's full-rig Laser heading Jane Anderson's Laser 4.7, but the latter turned out to be the eventual winner on handicap Crisp close-up of Steve Axford on the beat
Adeney Pooler's Graduate, looking shiny white in the autumn sunshine, in the afternoon's Pursuit Race Jane Chadney's Laser 4.7 just in front on James Pollard, as they make the turn at Dam Green The RS200's asymmetric spinnaker filling nicely in the (mainly) Easterly breeze The Enterprise of Alan Comber, with Brian Pollard as crew, appears to have a substantial lead in the closing stages of the Pursuit Race

28th September

Using Start Line 2 called for difficult judgements from helms on whereabouts on the start line to be: here James Pollard's Laser Radial is ahead (but to leeward) of Steve Axford's Laser and Bob Sampson's RS200 Just occasionally the breeze filled in for a few lucky boats - here Bob Sampson and Jane Anderson in the RS200 are going really rather nicely But much of the time it was just a question of sitting and waiting: here Adam Hilton and James Pollard chat as they drift along Start of the afternoon race, still on Start Line 2, with the breeze now little more than a whisper
Coming and going to West White: here it looks as if Adam Hilton's Solo has crept into the lead Looking for the wind?  Bob Sampson and John Duncalf peering both sides of the mainsail, whilst in the background the same fisherman as in a previous picture stares impassively on Paul Whybrow en-route to a win on handicap The story of the afternoon....  As they head towards Middle, the two leading boats look to have found a nice patch of breeze and have little bow waves, whilst not far away, the other three dinghies look to be moving much more slowly

5th October

The start of the first of the Frostbite series, with the fleet heading on the short beat to Dam Green into a south/south- easterly breeze Boats performing a gentle-looking gybe at Dam Green before heading up the lake, with the RS200 in the lead, just ahead of Adam Hilton's Solo Almost all of the 19-strong fleet in view: increasing numbers of boats on a decreasing area of water.... Alex's Topper just ahead of Elliot on the run; really nice to see John Dabb's Gull going so well in a rare competitive appearance on the lake
James Pollard's Laser heeling to  a gust, just ahead of Jane Anderson's Laser Radial The start of the afternoon Icicle race, with sufficient wind to get the mast-head float of Nathan Pollard's Topper off the vertical The trio of Vicki Duncalf's Topper, Adeney Pooler's Graduate and Nathan Pollard's Topper approach the gybe at Dam Green Adam Hilton's Solo close behind Jane Anderson's Laser Radial

12th October

Start of the midday race, with a short beat towards Dam Green again: husband-and-wife duo of Jane and Paul Anderson showing ahead in their respective Lasers Good close up of James Pollard approaching Dam Green, just in front of Linda Spiller in her Comet The fleet on a broad reach from Dam Green to the next mark at Home 2 All smiles on the Quebec: Toby helming, with Hamish and  new club member Jamie Godwin crewing
Good action shot of Rachel Pomeroy initiating a tack in the 'Mike Ford' Mixture of port and starboard approaches to the line at the start of the afternoon race It gets very busy round Dam Green at the start of a race when there's a sizeable fleet out - but Paul Anderson has got clear away Paul Anderson's Laser alongside Nathan Pollard's Topper

19th October

Bob Sampson, just back from a week in the Med honing his high-wind sailing skills, looks very comfortable in the Laser 4.7 as he passes Middle on a broad reach.  The rest of the fleet are in a close quartet behind. Good close-up of Simon Veal and Nicola Clay, working hard in the Bosun; the small breadth of foreshore in the background shows how much the lake level has already risen in the last week or two Simon getting back to his roots as the Bosun submarines in  a gust across the windiest part of the lake; behind, the odd angle of the boom on the 'Mike Ford' is due to the kicker coming unjammed in a gust, which couldn't be re-tightened until the boat reached the relative quiet of the more sheltered water down towards the Dam.  Adam Hilton's Solo is also well up on the plane.  Windspeeds of 25mph with gusts of 34mph were recorded at Chivenor Met Station at midday, with higher speeds later! Nicola Clay finds a moment to relax as the Bosun heads into calmer waters
Adam Hilton, going very well in his Solo with a smaller sail to still be tucked in just behind the Bosun at this point Nathan Pollard's Topper hull almost disappearing beneath the spray as he planes back across the middle of the lake Bob Sampson's Laser 4.7 and Nathan's Topper almost side-by-side in the afternoon race Nathan 's Topper meets the wake of a high-speed Bosun going the other way....

26th October

Start of the midday race, on Start Line 2 The whole fleet in view as they head back from the top of the lake, with James Pollard out in front Good action shot as Jane Anderson makes the turn at Dam Green; the model boat club are out in force in the background for one of their regattas Start  of the afternoon race; interesting contrast between the smoother water in the foreground and the (presumably) windier area in the middle distance
James Pollard out in front once more; Linda Spiller's Comet looks to be going well to the right of picture Vicki and John sailing in opposite directions, overseen by an impassive cormorant on the Wheelyboat in the middle Starting to look fairly windy as the fleet beat back from the far end of the lake The RS200 with Sue Murray at the helm in the centre of shot; looks to be close competition between the two Solos right of picture

2nd November

Robin Spiller showing ahead in his Streaker to leeward, with James Pollard nicely placed to windward as  boats approach the line at the start of the midday race The whole fleet in view at the top end of the lake (14 boats - a good number for a blustery November): Bob Sampson and Brian Pollard keep a watchful eye in the foreground Close competition amongst the Topper sailors: Alex Clifton, Nathan Pollard, Elliot Pomeroy and Jane Chadney almost in line abreast, with Rachel Pomeroy not far behind And equally close quarters in the middle of the fleet, with Adam Hilton's Solo and the Bosuns of Toby Tobias and Nicky Buckett more-or-less level pegging
Steve Axford's Laser, having to spill wind in many of the gusts, is only just ahead of James Pollard's Laser Radial in this shot John Savage in the Solo getting onto the plane just behind Nathan Pollard's Topper Tony Tobias and John Dabbs make a brilliant start in the afternoon race Lasers and Bosuns still tight together on the first lap, heading at speed up towards Far; in the background, the lack of foreshore shows the lake has now completely refilled, with water going over the spillway

9th November

Bright November sunshine (and mild temperatures) has brought out a good-sized fleet for the midday race on the last day of the racing calendar Laser Radials in very close competition: almost nothing separating Jane Anderson, Jane Chadney and James Pollard At times, there  was enough wind for planing boats to take off: Jane and James at speed It takes a lot of effort to keep a Kestrel flat: Bob Sampson and Nicky Buckett try out the club's Kestrel, restored by Roger Heasman
Start of the afternoon race: sufficient wind to get the boats moving quite nicely here, but it tended to die away for much of the race An excellent shot from the Dam as the fleet rounds the first mark at Dam Green: Adam executes a roll tack in the Solo, with the Kestrel just behind The whole fleet in shot as they head away from the Dam (and the magic of the telephoto lens brings a road into shot that you normally never notice) Linda and Robin Spiller (Comet and Streaker respectively) side by side as they head back towards the start line

Boxing Day Race

'Santa' recovering from his Christmas Day exertions with a relaxing sail at Upper Tamar Steve Axford leads the fleet away at the gun Bob Sampson a few lengths ahead of James Pollard as they round Dam Green The three Lasers on a broad reach at the front of the fleet
Simon Veal's Bosun just ahead of Adam Hilton's as they head towards West Alex Clifton and Jo Talbot-Adams go two-up in the Topper Robin Spiller out in Linda's Comet, complete with new sail A shot of the entire fleet: a good turnout for a Boxing Day sail
